Bridesmaid in the Recession
Like many, I've spent a pretty penny to be honored in my friends' weddings. And although it is always a pleasure, the recession has me thinking how to honor them with out breaking the bank.
Good Article: "Always a bridesmaid --and flat broke"
Spring is here, and that means wedding season.
Though it's considered an honor to participate in a friend's or a family member's wedding, the privilege can cost you a pretty penny.
This season, however, the economy is giving some bridesmaids a much-needed break.

Powder Room Accessories
I think this is such a cute idea that was posted on Jean M posted on their website http://www.myjeanm.com/RI_Favors.cfm - A bathroom set is something that is affordable to do and it adds such a personalized touch to the reception- It is sure to be something the wedding guests will love and use - love the idea of monogramed tic tacs!

Love Languages
Yesterday I read The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate by Gary Chapman. If you have not read this book, you should. Even if you don't have a mate, it's principles can be used in any loving relationship. Basically Dr. Chapman explains that everyone has a love tank that needs to be filled. To show love to someone you must use their love language, or they may not see your action as "love." The 5 Love Languages are as follows:
- Words of Affirmation
- Quality Time
- Receiving Gifts
- Acts of Service
- Physical Touch
I relayed all the important tidbits to Justin and then we took the quiz. Justin was almost equal in 4 areas. His highest scoring areas were Quality Time and Physical Touch. These were closely followed by Words of Affirmation and Receiving Gifts. He had zero points for Acts of Service.
I also took the quiz. I scored highest in Quality Time followed closely by Physical Touch. I shouldn't have been surprised that we had the same highest scoring love languages. It is rare that we don't "feel" loved by one another.
You can take the quiz for yourself: http://www.fivelovelanguages.com/
Back to Reality
After considering Key West as my destination wedding location, I had come back home to Orlando to plan my wedding. I am trying to decided between two beautiful locations. The first one in Casa Feliz a old spanish style home in Winter Park. It is so beautiful and I love the whole feeling of the place, but it cannot hold very many people. The second two pictures are of paradise cove in Lake Buena Vista. This place is in the key west style and is more relaxed. I need to decide by tomorrow!
